In the busy logistics and transport industry, accidents can happen. These accidents can slow down businesses and cost money. If a cargo load spills or is compromised, getting things back on track as quickly as possible is critical.
We specialize in fuel spill recovery, cargo load recovery and heavy-truck recovery, but sometimes duty calls and requires something more! In this incident, we had to do a little electrical work to fix a refrigerated trailer.
Transport cargo can weigh tens of thousands of pounds. Unfortunately, a significant cause of load shifts is imbalanced or improper loading. A heavy imbalanced load will throw off the trailer’s center of gravity, causing it to tip, jack-knife, blow tires, or cause other semi-truck accidents.
Team Pro-Enviro went to great lengths to save a client’s perishable cargo during a tractor-trailer accident recovery back in October 2020. The container had flipped over on its side, and there was damage to the refrigeration system, causing a leak. We got the container safely to our storage yard, where we took extraordinary measures to keep the unit cool and the cargo frozen.
As a truck driver, driving around with heavy loads involves much more than experienced driving. While safe speeds and slow turns are critical, sometimes a load shift can happen and cause serious troubles.
