Back on March 4, 2015, Team Pro-Enviro and Team Pro-Tow were called to the scene of a collision involving two semi-trucks with full loads. A truck hauling 80,000 pounds of potting soil collided with one pulling 55,000 pounds of k-cups. It created a large accident recovery scene that took most of the night to recover. Because of the cargo involved, the incident also required cargo recovery.
Emergency Cargo Recovery
After arriving at the scene, we worked quickly to perform an emergency cargo recovery. Both trucks had spilled their loads, and extensive debris had scattered across a wide area. As always, we navigated various difficulties to successfully mitigate risk and ensure an efficient and effective accident recovery.
Team Pro-Enviro consists of hardworking, competent operators with experience in solving unusual cargo problems. We used a specialty Landoll semi-trailer and forklift to get the loads sorted and reloaded for transport in this incident.
Called Away on Another Call
Meanwhile, Pro-Tow was called to another cargo recovery nearby in Kent, WA. A load of fencing had shifted and nearly caused the semi-truck and trailer to overturn. We performed an emergency cargo recovery, reloading, and transported that load to a nearby trucking terminal.
Towing the Casualties
Back at the original scene, and using a heavy-duty crane-style wrecker, Pro-Tow performed the accident recovery to remove the casualties from the roadway. Next, we used the crane to upright the trailers. Then the severely damaged semi-tractors were towed away to a safe location. Once Pro-Tow removed the trucks and trailers from the scene, Pro-Enviro continued cleaning up the remaining debris from the accident.
Working as a Team
Our Pro-Tow and Pro-Enviro divisions often work together as a team on accident recoveries. Pro-Tow specializes in emergency towing, heavy truck towing, crane lift services, and semi-truck accident recovery.
Pro-Enviro specializes in motor vehicle spill response, including spill recovery and cleanup. We also handle cargo recovery, load shifts, and cargo reloading. With the personnel and equipment from both divisions, we can address these situations quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
